Eric Harrison specialises in advising at board and executive levels with particular expertise in industry restructuring, regulatory issues, new business opportunities and liberalising market developments. He has a wealth of practical experience and in-depth knowledge encompassing some 30 years gained from an extensive senior management, regulatory and consulting background within the Power Industry. Eric has also had involvements with projects and aspects of changes and developments in the Gas, Telecommunications and Water sectors. A known strategic adviser to Industry and Governments, he is a periodic presenter at international conferences and a recognised energy industry pundit. Eric has also written and delivered a number of papers on the emerging international energy markets, the future for virtual utilities and the development of open network access in the energy markets.
Prior to founding Consensia Limited in 2001, Eric had initiated, developed and managed international Energy & Utilities consulting groups for such varied organisations as the IT and business consulting company SEMA Group, the e-business organisation Proxicom and international accountants PKF. He has also personally directed major project engagements for international utilities, Governments and Regulators on the impacts of liberalisation, regulatory requirements and responses, global and local energy strategies, the growth of competition, environment and sustainability, and on innovative e-business solutions. Eric has typically worked with clients in the UK, Italy, France, Ireland, Spain and in other countries worldwide.
Originally an electrical engineer by training, Eric holds a BA in Mathematics & Statistics and a Diploma in Management Studies. Eric is also Managing Director of our project development business and sister company Consensia Projects Limited. He is currently based in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
